100% of all proceeds raised (including ticket sales, raffle tickets and auction items) will be donated directly to the Racing for Christchurch Appeal Fund and then passed on to the Prime Minister's Appeal Fund.

Anyone who purchased a service fee to a stallion in the evening's live auction component will receive free transport for their mare to that stallion courtesy of Majestic Horse Floats Ltd. Australian-based stallions (Starcraft and Exceed and Excel) are excluded.

Stallion service auction conditions
- Upon the fall of the hammer, the purchaser will sign their purchase contract.
- GST will be added to the purchase price.
- Payment of the “Purchase Price” including GST is to be made within 10 working days of a 42 day positive pregnancy test.
- The payment of money will be made to the Prime Minister’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Fund. The fund will arrange for the invoicing and receipting of the purchases.
- Free Live Foal Guarantee insurance to the successful bidder of each service auctioned on the night courtesy of New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance on the following terms:
- The policy is a foetal insurance (Unborn Foal) policy which insures the foetus from 42 days after conception to 30 days after birth of the foal in 2012, on the condition that:
- The mare is under 13 years of age; and
- The mare does not have any blemishes on her breeding record for 2010 or 2011 (i.e. no ‘slips’ or dead foals).
- Policies will be issued on production of a 42 day positive test to NZB.
- If foetal insurance conditions are not satisfied purchaser(s) accepts that no foetal (unborn foal) insurance.
- If your mare does not meet these conditions please contact NZB Insurance to discuss a variation.
